Maglie is a city located in the heart of the Salentine Peninsula. It is an important commercial center and it's worth visiting for a lot of reasons.
Monument dedicated to Francesca Capece: created by the well known sculptor Antonio Bortone from Ruffano, it represents Francesca Capece, Maglie's last vassal, who left all her properties to the city.

Madonna delle Grazie Column : 15 metres high limestone column.
Cathedral Dome : the most important and appreciated church of the city.
Cathedral's Bell Tower : 48 metres high, it is the highest bell tower in the province of Lecce.
Villa Tamborino: designed by Tommaso Pispico for the senator Achille Tamborino, it has a private garden in English style.
L'Alca: it includes the city's library and the Civic Museum "Decio de Lorentiis".
